The research group focuses on the following topics:
1) Based on methods of the Cochrane Collaboration, the research group performs systematic reviews and meta-analyses as well as living evidence syntheses on resilience mechanisms and resilience-promoting interventions. Thereby, the research group offers a knowledge base for LIR staff and external scientists.
2) The research group examines trajectories of resilience and mental distress in representative samples and in specific populations and identifies risk and protective factors.
3) The research group studies the implementation of resilience-promoting interventions in the general population and in specific risk groups by monitoring and evaluating intervention effects in everyday life.
- 1) Systematic reviews on:
- Trajectories of mental health in face of stress (e.g., COVID-19 pandemic)
- Resilience factors as predictors of these trajectories
- Resilience- and health-promoting interventions in the context of different stressors
- Changes in responses to stress over the lifespan with a special focus on older age
- 2) Development of psychotherapeutic interventions to promote resilience with a focus on programs provided in group formats and online
- 3) Optimizing the assessment of resilience (factors) using advances in the field of Machine Learning
- 4) Optimizing evidence syntheses by implementing new methods of search and data analysis
